Seattle & Eastside service areas
Requests through Seattle Moving Pros cover the city and the Eastside. Every neighborhood moves a little differently — here's what tends to matter in each:
Capitol Hill
Dense pre-war walk-ups, narrow one-way streets, and heavy RPZ parking enforcement. A temporary no-parking permit for the truck pays for itself here, and alley-loading buildings are common enough to ask about.
Belltown & Downtown
Tower territory: freight elevator reservations, COIs, and dock time windows govern everything. Month-end elevator slots disappear fast, so booking order is building first, mover second.
South Lake Union & Denny Triangle
Newer high-rises with well-run but strictly scheduled loading docks, plus constant tech-lease turnover. Weekday mid-morning windows are often the least contested.
Queen Anne
The counterbalance grade and stair-street access on the hill's flanks mean some homes need shuttle vehicles or long carries. Photos of your street help providers quote it right.
Ballard
Bungalows and townhome rows with tight shared driveways, plus the Ballard Bridge opening for marine traffic at inconvenient moments. Crews plan routes and load order around both.
Fremont & Wallingford
Sloped side streets where full-size trucks struggle to turn around, and a mix of craftsman houses and small apartment buildings. Curb reservations prevent the block-away parking problem.
West Seattle
Everything routes over the high bridge or through South Park, so timing against commute traffic matters more here than anywhere in the city. Alaska Junction condos add elevator scheduling on top.
Columbia City & Rainier Valley
Light-rail-adjacent growth means new mid-rise buildings with move-in rules next to older single-family homes with easy access — two very different jobs on the same block.
U District & Ravenna
Student-cycle turnover concentrates moves around lease flips in late summer. Older walk-ups near campus are stair jobs; book early if your dates land near the academic calendar.
Green Lake & Phinney Ridge
Quiet residential streets with decent truck access, but limited curb space near the lake on sunny weekends. Weekday moves run noticeably smoother.
Bellevue
Downtown Bellevue towers mirror Seattle's COI-and-elevator regime, while the surrounding neighborhoods are straightforward driveway loads. Cross-lake moves should be routed around 520 and I-90 peaks.
Kirkland & Redmond
Steady relocation flow tied to Eastside tech campuses, with a mix of new apartment stock and suburban homes. Local providers treat Seattle-to-Redmond as an hourly job with bridge time on the clock.
